Believing in the collective power of “Chipping-In” through time, talent or finances, Caddies 4 Cure works with Northwest charities to increase awareness, participation, and support of causes that meet the needs of children and families.
Caddies 4 Cure began in the summer of 2002 as an informal golf outing. In a few short years, Caddies 4 Cure quickly blossomed into one of the premiere charitable fundraising events in the Northwest. Friends for more than 20 years, co-founders Ryan DuChene and Justin Marquart created Caddies 4 Cure as a way to raise money for two charities close to their hearts.
In 2001, Ryan’s wife, Marci, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. While Marci is winning her battle against MS, many others are not as fortunate. In an effort to support the valuable outreach, research and other activities of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, a portion of Caddies 4 Cure’s donations are given to the Marci DuChene Multiple Sclerosis Fund of Oregon.
Justin and his wife Lisa came to know the Emanuel Children’s Hospital through the tragic loss of their daughter, Ella Marie, to a congenital heart defect. Justin and Lisa created The Ella Marquart Fund to honor their daughter and to benefit the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Emanuel Children’s Hospital.
Caddies 4 Cure is proud to have raised over $250,000 combined for these two worthy causes.
