Caddies 4 Cure 2011 a Rousing Success!
Jun 16th
Caddies 4 Cure raised $165,000 at this year’s star-studded “A Night to Chip In” and Celebrity Golf tournament, which featured an all-star celebrity roster, a live auction, casino-style gaming, and contests along the course. The monies raised from these events will go to support The Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel and the Oregon and SW Washington Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
“Our guests really stepped up this year to make it one of our best events yet,” said Kristi Peterson, Caddies 4 Cure marketing and operations director. ”Not only did people give generously with their wallets, but their hearts were really in it too. In fact, we are already getting auction donations and volunteers for next year.”
The first place gross winner of the 2011 Caddies 4 Cure Celebrity Golf Tournament is Team Forsythe, led by Sterling Sharpe, with a score of 57 after a scorecard playoff of 16 holes.
For the first time, the gross winners of the golf tournament received custom red ceremonial jackets to be worn at next year’s A Night to Chip In.
Caddies 4 Cure continues to accept donations and volunteer applications (see the “Donate” and “Volunteers” tabs above). A baseball bat signed by Baseball Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith is also up for auction on the site until June 23, 2011. Click here to place a bid!
